24 - Spoooooky

We rolled out of Houston to yet another beautiful mid west morning. We stopped at the Hardee's to fill up on biscuits, gravy and cheap coffee.
The ride was very scenic and low traffic. Lots more rolling hills as we covered the last of the Ozarks. Very peaceful.day on the bike.
We stopped in Hartsville for lunch and ended up meeting four cyclists heading east. Four women all over 60 riding the trans am. How cool!
We are camping tonight at the city park in Marshfield. Its nice place with another pool (where I was able to shower).
We rode back up to the town square for dinner and ended up eating at a Italian restaurant. The owners were happy to see cyclists. They were from Portland and very happy to see cyclists in Missouri. The food was very tasty and service was spot on.
The restaurant itself was a interesting place with what turned out to be a very interesting history.
It was the city morgue up into the 90's when an attempted murder shut the place down. The mortician had a mistress on the side, when the wife found out she went a little crazy. As the story goes she attempted to embalm the mistress.. .when she was still alive. Whoaaa
To make the place even more creepy, it was right beside the masonic lodge. The mortician at the time was the president. Creeeepy secret societies.
Aside from the ghost stories Marshfield is a very pleasant place. Everyone is very friendly and hospitable.
All for now, I'm going to put up my tent and enjoy this amber sunset.
love.T!!!!!!!!!!!!
