Safe and settled here in Yorktown. The trip is off to a great start. My friend and coworker Graham drove Mike and I from Blacksburg to our starting point. We stopped at his beautiful home in Richmond and had a wonderful lunch. Huge thanks to Graham and his family for their hospitality.
We will be staying the night here in Yorktown and hitting the road tomorrow morning. The forecast is looking less than ideal but it will be a good opportunity to test out our rain gear.
Another huge thanks to John and Twyla from Grace Episcopal Church for offering Mike and myself a stay in their beautiful guest house. Its as cozy as cozy comes.
